OLD MINERS
It’s in the University of “Campus” in Mieres. We can see a scene of a mountainous mining scene in documentary, with a group of old miners just before they get into the face of the mine. It’s an image with documentary value, which represents a part of the author’s childhood very much connected to coal mining, a time when he lived together within a community of miners who worked at the exploitations of the Mariana Valley. The painting has grey , brownish and blue shades, in a cold range in order to harmonize with the harsh character of mining coal exploitation.
